Description
What happens when a single syllable becomes the seed for a universe of thought?
Vipan̄cika Sisindri is a unique and evocative poetic form conceptualized by Karthik Nimmagadda, masterfully brought into expression by acclaimed writer Dr. Mamidala Shailaja. This innovative Telugu poetic style begins with the anchoring syllable “ఓ” (O), unfolding into a tightly structured three-line verse that harmonizes both ādiprāsa (initial rhyme) and antyaprāsa (end rhyme) — a rare poetic balance of form and feeling.
Unlike traditional long-form poetry, Sisindris are brief yet immensely layered. In just three lines, each poem offers a striking philosophical, social, or emotional reflection. The themes are wide-ranging — from death, nature, and politics, to revolution, art, and inner quests. Every Sisindri is a miniature world, echoing with intensity, often ending with a powerful twist or poetic punch.
With precision and passion, Vipan̄cika Sisindri revives poetic discipline in a contemporary world of chaotic expressions. For readers who appreciate linguistic elegance, structured brevity, and rich cultural resonance, this book is both an aesthetic treat and a literary discovery.
