here are some facts nobody wants you to know
just because the world has time and again called you a match doesn’t mean it is your responsibility to strike yourself up against giant rocks of hurt.
your hurt isn’t just a second skin you can remove when you want to. it’s there, like a tattoo, and you carry it on your shoulders for the rest of your life.
for most part of their lives, your parents have no clue as to what they’re doing. all that matters is to get you through life without so much as a scratch, not realizing scratches often resemble the shape of a human.
us humans, we’re fragile. we depend on our gps. we take notes from horror movies. we take wrong turns. we call our best friend’s house our home. we dream about exchanging last names.
but here’s a fact nobody wants us to know.
we don’t need anybody’s nod of approval. we’re enough. we’re whole. we got ourselves here. we’ve been carrying ourselves around for as long as we’ve been alive, and we’re not going to crumble.
we’ve already made it this far, we can make it through.
