Description
This book, titled ‘Winter Plum’, along with several other short stories, is a thick collection of tales containing a wide range of very ordinary and innocent topics, each of which have sought to examine human nature, their very best, their very worst. The primary novella ‘Winter Plum’, the reason the collection has been named thus, is a tale of a transgender woman who vacillates between identities, thereby creating an imaginary sister and a brother to cope with the hardships that haunt her. ‘Winter Plum’ has a fairy-tale like ending as several allusions to the Russian ballet, ‘Swan Lake’ have been included to support the narrative. The remaining motifs have delved into other aspects of mankind that may shock or please the readers.
