No one in the whole wide universe

is ever going to make you feel complete.

They are not supposed to,

because believe me, if they did,

you wouldn’t know that

there is a whole goddamn

universe in yourself and

learning to fall in love with it

is everything that

you need, every single day,

for the rest of eternity.

Often we find ourselves seeking comfort in the middle of trouble. What do we look for? Courage, love, maybe validation…or rebellion? And who do we go to?

Vibes, feelings, the sixth sense. We trust these more than the people in front of us. Maybe this is why we find comfort in pieces of art, in poetry and prose, and this is why poets long to share good vibes, to let people know what powerful things they are.
