Writer’s Pocket provides 100% royalty after deducting production cost and distribution cost from the selling price of the book.

So, for example, if the selling price is Rs. 250, printing price is Rs. 120 and distribution cost is Rs. 80, then you will get Rs. 50 as royalty. 

(Please note this is just an example, the actual numbers will be calculated after we work on your manuscript)

• The royalty will be transferred to you automatically on a monthly basis via direct bank transfer.
• No minimum threshold for royalty transfer.
• You will receive the consolidated sales report on 20th of every month (starting from the next month whenever your book is published). 
• You will receive the royalty payout on 25th of every month (starting from the next month whenever your book is published).

Writer’s Pocket takes approximately 30 days to complete the entire publishing process after you submit your final manuscript to us.

We will share the manuscript file with you after every stage of publishing for a review. This helps us ensure that we are on the same page as you and the book of your dreams is being published exactly the way you want it to.

For the cover, our designer will get in touch with you, understand your requirements and then design it according to your preference. We require your cooperation and active participation in this stage.

If you opt for any add-on services OR if you are not available for a few days to review and approve the files then it may take longer. Thank you for understanding!

We will send the link to a form where you can submit your manuscript and also a publication contract to you via email within 2 working days after you sign up for the offer. 

In this form, you are required to attach a single MS Word or Google Docs file of your final manuscript when you are ready with it.

Please keep the following points in mind when making the file for submiting it to Writer’s Pocket for publihsing your book:

• Please place the content in the file in the order in which you want it to be published in the book.
• Please ensure that you have gone through the final content to ensure minimum number of revisions later. This will help us ensure that we are able to complete the entire publishing process in the promised timeline of 30 days.
• Please add numbers at the beginning of all chapters/stories/poems/quotes so that there is no confusion while we are formatting the book.

For the services mentioned in Writer’s Pocket’s Exclusive Publishing Offer, you don’t need to pay anything other than the processing fee of ₹999.

The copyrights of the content will belong with you completely. The publishing rights of the book will belong with Writer’s Pocket until the termination of the contract.

The contract will outline the basic terms and conditions, the services that we are providing, details about copyrights, publishing rights, distribution rights and other details.

(The contract may be terminated at any point by either party with valid reasoning for the same. The procedure for termination is explained in the contract as well.)

However, you will be able to purchase author copies for yourself at the production cost from us whenever you require them.

So in the free publishing offer, Writer’s Pocket provides basic marketing support. In that, we do 3 things:

1. Keyword research – We will check the most apt keywords for the book and include them in the listing for ecommerce websites

2. Periodic discounts – Our distributors will apply periodic discounts ranging from 5% to 30% on the book within few days after publication

3. Periodic ads on Amazon – We will run periodic ads on Amazon to increase the visibility of the book.

Also, we list you book in Amazon Prime and Flipkart Assured to ensure that there is no additional delivery fee and the shipping is also quicker.

For the MRP, we will first provide you with a suggested price and if you are not comfortable with it then we can give you a range for maximum and minimum from which you can pick.

We have mentioned in the contract that the Publisher will be deciding the price to ensure that the author doesn’t pick a price that is so low that we are unable to meet the costs being incurred for production and distribution and also not so high that the sales get impacted. You can rest assured that it will be a mutual decision.

You can write the book in any language, we publish books in all regional and foreign languages.

No, you can opt for add-on services after submitting your manuscript as well.

If you get stuck at anywhere in the writing process, it is okay if you take more time to submit the manuscript since you will get more than 9 months to submit it after you sign up for the Exclusive Publishing Offer. The processing fee of ₹999 is non-refundable so we recommend you to take your time and submit the manuscript to us once it is ready.
